Smarter Design — Empowering Business
Chiharu Shiota: Embodied and Internal was the first solo of Chiharu’s work in an Australian public gallery. A truly captivating and engaging body of work, the collection presented pieces from around the world. Curated by Leigh Robb, Curator of Contemporary Art and Russell Kelty, Associate Curator of Asian Art, the exhibition was an evocative and highly visual experience which was to be translated graphically across all campaign material.
Embracing the tangles of red thread as a graphic device, a visual that is almost synonymous to Chiharu’s work, and balancing with structured typography that is nicely complimented with the Japanese translation. The campaign direction and creative execution was as interesting and engaging as her works.
