Smarter Design — Empowering Business
Technical Colleges is not only the first of its kind in South Australia, it’s the first of it’s kind globally. A pathway education concept commencing in year 9, with a curriculum co-designed by industry leading organisations, set amongst a state-of-the-art facility, Technical Colleges is touted to play a central role in South Australia’s future economic growth.
Designed to guide students through a curriculum that is developed in conjunction with industry with a hands on learning approach, the key objective of Technical Colleges is to increase the chances of high school students transitioning immediately into careers, ensuring they are prepared for the next stage of career development and growth.
The real unique attribute of the Technical Colleges, is that each of the facilities are designed to be modular to allow for new industry specific curriculums to be introduced as the demand for the respective jobs increase. This means that as demand for industry jobs change and increase over time, the state can adjust pathway education in order to increase skilled, educated and work ready students entering the workforce, filling skills gaps whilst ensuring jobs for young South Australians.
StudioBand® was approached by the Department for Education South Australia to assist them with the development of the Technical Colleges brand. Immediately, we sought to manage multiple stakeholders, ranging from project teams to education leadership and government executives, through a rigorous strategic process.
Establishing a clear brand hierarchy for a complex branding system that required multiple branded sites across the state informed clear structure to then apply a strategic approach of creating an education brand that comfortably aligned with progressive, modern industry sectors.
